The Photographer's Eye

 The Thing Itself

Catching lions

This photo was taken July 17th, 2014 by Susan McConnell. It is titled "Catching lions" and was part of lion conversation work when scientist were tagging the lions for tracking and pattern information.

This was taken by Aaron Huber  on December 29, 202. The photo was taken in Hawaii. This photo presents itself as "the thing itself" because of the lighting and focus on the vehicle. The darkness on the frontend is giving the vehicle the voice of the picture, while the back drop gives it the setting of the picture. This photo did not have a title. However, it stood out as cool to me with the sense of "place" I was looking for.

Detail

This photo was taken by Mikita Yo. It is the Duomo Milan Cathedral square taken May 3, 2020. This is a low angle photo that gives the Cathedral power and depth. I chose this because I think gothic architecture is beautiful and full of art. This photo delivered the grandness of gothic
architecture. This photo did not have a title either.

This photo is titled "I'm begging you" taken by Cam Bradford. Taken on October 1st 2020. This photo is selectively focused on a sign that says "Please don't litter". While mother natured is surround the sign.

Frame

This Photo is titled "Through the window" it was Published September 3rd, 2018. The photographer is Tevin Trinh. It was taken in Breckinridge Colorado. I chose this photo because it's focus is on the frame but still draws your attention to the unfocused backdrop that almost appears fake.

Titled "Airport Bus" this Photo was taken in Thailand on August 20th, 2018. Kevin Bosc is the photographer. I think this photo gives a good idea for "Framed" by using a window as a unfocused part, and focusing on the airplane in the window.

Time

"Pelicans at Sunrise" was taken November 5th, 2020 by Birger Strahl. At Lake Kerkini, Kerkini, Griechenland.  Using time and focus to capture the beautiful picture.

"Long exposed Traffic tunnel" was taken in Trento, Italy on February 14th, 2017. Taken by Alessio Lin.

Vantage point

"Spirale" was taken in River Terrace Park, Kangaroo Point, Australia on June 8th, 2020. Taken by Warren Brasse. This photo is cool because it taken from a different place you could have a different view. The Vantage point really shows the spiraling of the object.

"Views From The 12" was Published August 30, 2018 by Jakob Owens, without a location.
