These Photo's were inspired by natural beauty. Taken on my grandparents ranch.  My process started trying to pick times of the day to take photos. The rain over the weekend really helped with that. The clouds provided different lighting situations and different views of the mountains. The second part was deciding what would fit into my process. I wanted things that had a story, whether the story is time, or an idea that would get the viewer thinking.  "Stop"  "Mid Day" "Fly" "Fishing Ranger" "Sunrise" "River Side" "Sr" "Sun Room View" "Beaver slide"  "Bubble Room"

This Photo took a lot of thought to bring together. Choosing a photo for the background and a portrait. However, I wanted a downtown photo that had depth to it so it would look like it made sense. I picked what I thought was the best portrait and then decided on switch photo I would pair it with. Once I tried these it just felt like it made sense, the windows line up almost like it was meant to be. Then the portrait does not over take the photo and same with the photo to the portrait. The Portrait to me, seems like it was painted onto the wall. Once I had them sized right, I adjusted the contrast and brightness to try and bring out the natural colors .

I was lacking "human" subjects, so Bailey took one for the team for the portraits. We used two different areas to take the pictures. we figured out the area with less lighting appeared as if there was more sunlight in the pictures. Bailey is decently trained, so sitting on a chair was no problem. However, to get her attention for a long period of time: dog beef jerky did the trick. This of course made getting the pictures slightly more difficult. You'll see two pictures that look like the same picture, they actually aren't. They were different settings on the camera and came out very differently when brought up in the file. This assignment really made me fluctuate between camera setting more than normal because of the lighting and positioning. Sense Bailey is mostly black it made going darker more challenging in a sense. After taking a large amount of photos these are the ones I settled on. The first three are my favorite and I think had more direct sunlight.

The Thing Itself   This photo was taken July 17th, 2014 by Susan McConnell. It is  titled  "Catching lions" and was part of lion  conversation  work when scientist were tagging the lions for  tracking  and pattern information. This was taken by Aaron Huber  on December 29, 202. The photo was taken in Hawaii. This photo presents itself as "the thing itself" because of the lighting and focus on the vehicle. The darkness on the frontend is giving the vehicle the voice of the picture, while the back drop gives it the setting of the picture. This photo did not have a title. However, it stood out as cool to me with the sense of "place" I was looking for. Detail  This photo was taken by Mikita Yo. It is the Duomo Milan Cathedral square taken May 3, 2020. This is a low angle  photo that gives the Cathedral power and depth. I chose this because I think gothic architecture is beautiful and full of art. This photo delivered the gran...
